The Jets activated WR JoJo Natson from the practice squad, waived/injured DL Ed Stinson and signed CB Michael Hunter to the P-squad.
An undrafted free agent, the 5'7", 153-pound Natson signed with the Colts in May. In the preseason, he tallied 13 receptions for 180 yards and was the team's primary returner. Natson was waived Sep. 2 and the Jets signed him to the practice squad two days later.
Originally starting his collegiate career at Utah State (2012-14), he transferred to Akron (2016) for his redshirt senior year. His four punt returns tied for first all-time in both Aggies and Mountain West history. After hauling in 127 receptions at Utah State, he started 11 games for the Zips and totaled 59 receptions and 10 receiving touchdowns. His career collegiate statistics included 186 catches for 1,868 yards and 15 touchdowns in addition to six return scores.
Stinson originally signed with the Jets Oct. 4 and was released Oct. 31 before he signed again Nov. 7. The 6'3", 287-pounder appeared in four games and registered three tackles for the Green & White.
Hunter, a 2016 undrafted free agent, played in six games with the crosstown Giants over the past two seasons. The 6'1", 191-pounder began his collegiate career at Indiana, but transferred to Oklahoma State as a fifth-year senior. Hunter totaled 81 tackles, 7.5 of which were for loss, four interceptions and 12 pass defenses in 32 games.
