The Jets have parted ways with LS Tanner Purdum. He had been the longest-tenured Jet after appearing in all of the team's 112-regular season contests over the past seven seasons.

Purdum, 6'3", 270 pounds, played collegiately at Baker and then served as a graduate assistant at Avila University in 2007 and his alma mater in 2008. He began his NFL career with the Chiefs in 2009, signing in April before being waived in August.

Joining the Green & White on a reserve/future contract on Feb. 2, 2010, Purdum made his NFL debut against Baltimore on Sep. 13. That began a remarkable run as Purdum was one of the most consistent at his position from 2010-16. He never was charged with an errant snap or penalty during his time in green & white.
