The Jets have signed DL Ed Stinson and OLB Obum Gwacham and placed rookie OLB Dylan Donahue on reserve/injured. The Green & White also signed LB Freddie Bishop to the practice squad.
A fifth-round pick of the Arizona Cardinals in 2014, Stinson appeared in 29 games with the Cardinals over three seasons and totaled 22 tackles. He was waived from injured reserve on Sep. 13.
The 6'5", 246-pound Gwacham, a native of Onitsha, Nigeria, played in 10 games and racked up 2.5 sacks for the Saints in 2015-16. Originally a sixth-round selection of Seattle in the 2015 Draft, the Oregon State product spent the preseason with the Saints before being released in September.
Donahue, a fifth-round pick of the Jets last April, registered four defensive tackles and four QB pressures in the season's first quarter. The 6'3", 248-pounder was injured while blocking on a Jeremy Kerley punt return late in overtime of the Jets' 23-20 victory over the Jaguars.
Bishop, a CFL transplant, has moved between the Jets' active roster and practice squad the past two seasons. In regular season action, he has totaled 17 tackles and two tackles for loss.
