Born with a serious heart condition, Coleman was told in 2009 that he would never play football again. But following a successful nine-hour open-heart surgery, Coleman was a multi-sport star at Jesuit HS (Portland, OR) and he earned a football scholarship to Portland State, where he would go on to earn All-Big Sky Conference honors three times during his career. He had a career-high five picks in 2015 and amassed nine interceptions in 45 career contests. Coleman originally signed with the Jets in May.
Simon appeared in 16 games last season and started in one, registering 23 tackles and 1.5 sacks. The 6'4", 332-pounder spent the past two seasons with the Green & White as he was a seventh-round pick in the 2015 Draft. The Northwestern State product split time between the practice squad and the active roster in his first pro year.
