The Jets remained active in free agency today with the signing of wide receiver Terrelle Pryor Sr.

Limited to nine games last season in Washington, Pryor suffered a foot injury Week 2 and battled through pain while totaling 20 receptions for 240 yards before heading to injured reserve in November.

The 6'4", 228-pound Pryor excelled when healthy in 2016. In his final year with the Browns, Pryor led Cleveland with 77 catches, 1,007 yards and four receiving touchdowns. His 77 receptions ranked fourth among wideouts in Browns history. In a Week 3 contest at Miami, Pryor became the first NFL player with at least 120 receiving yards (144), 30 passing yards (35) and 20 rushing yards (25) in a game since Hall of Famer Frank Gifford in 1959. He even played safety for a snap against the Dolphins in a contest where Pryor also became the first NFL player with three receptions, carries and pass attempts since Billy Kilmer in 1964.  His second career 100-yard receiving game came against the Jets, hauling in six passes during New York's 31-28 triumph on Oct. 30, 2016.

Originally a third-round selection of the Oakland Raiders in the 2011 NFL Supplemental Draft, Pryor made nine starts for Oakland at quarterback in 2013. He completed 57.4% of his passes for 1,798 yards with seven touchdowns and 11 interceptions and his 93-yard scoring run against the Steelers on Oct. 27 was the longest rush by a quarterback in NFL history. Pryor was traded to Seattle the following April and he would go on to spend parts of the 2015 offseason with Kansas City and Cincinnati before joining the Browns in June. After being waived in September, Pryor returned to Cleveland in December and appeared in three games while starting two at wide receiver.

A collegiate quarterback, Pryor led Ohio State to a 31-4 mark as a starter. He amassed 76 career touchdowns and left school as Ohio State's all-time rush leader among quarterbacks with 2,164 yards.
