The Jets announced today that they have signed LB Randell Johnson from the Rams practice squad. The club also announced that they have waived LB Arthur Brown.
Johnson appeared in 15 games with the Buffalo Bills from 2014-15, starting one contest and totaling seven tackles and two fumble recoveries. A seventh-round draft pick of the Bills in 2014, Johnson played in 42 games at Florida Atlantic and had 30.5 tackles for loss.
A waiver claim from Jacksonville on Dec. 7, the 6'0", 241-pound Brown appeared in two games with the Jets. He played 12 games with the Jaguars this season and had three coverage tackles on special teams. Originally a second-round selection of Baltimore in the 2013 draft out of Kansas State, Brown was a final cut this year and then picked up off waivers by the Jaguars the next day.
