The Jets have announced the signings of running back Terry Williams and defensive lineman Jake Ceresna and the departures of wide receiver Anthony Kelly, who was waived, and D-lineman Christo Bilukidi, who has left the squad.
Williams (5'8", 191) returns to the roster after being signed Aug. 3 and waived the next day. Williams got an invitation to the Giants' rookie minicamp in May before first signing with the Green & White. He ran a 4.42-second 40-yard dash at his Kutztown pro day in March.
He was a two-time All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference second-teamer. As a senior he ran for 817 yards on 118 carries for 6.9 yards/carry and scored 14 total touchdowns and 13 rush TDs — fourth-most in a season in KU history and two ahead of the then-school-record 11 by Jets-star-to-be Bruce Harper in 1976.
Ceresna (6'5",285) hails from New Fairfield, CT, and from Cortland University, where the Jets held their training camp for five summers through 2014. Transferring from Southern Connecticut in 2013, he had 22 starts and 14 sacks his last two seasons at Cortland. He received an invitation to the Kansas City Chiefs' rookie camp after the draft and then spent time with the Ottawa Redblacks in the CFL.
Kelly, also a Kutztown product, and Bilukidi were both signed Aug. 8.
