The Jets continued to address their offensive line Friday, signing T Kelvin Beachum.
Beachum spent the 2016 season with the Jacksonville Jaguars, appearing in 15 games and playing 1,023 snaps.
Prior to joining the Jaguars, the 6'3", 308-pound Beachum spent four seasons with the Steelers. The SMU product started five contests at RT in 2012 and then switched over to LT the following season, making 11 of his 12 starts there. Beachum started all 16 games at LT in 2014 and then played in six games the following campaign before heading to injured reserve with a left knee injury.
The Mexia, TX native played collegiately at SMU and was named first-team Conference USA after his junior season and then selected to the Lombardi Award and Outland Award watch lists as a senior.
On Thursday, the Jets gave C Wesley Johnson a second-round tender.
