Linebacker Anthony Schlegel played in his first NFL game today.

Wide receiver Tim Dwight rushed for 28 yards early in the first quarter, the Jets’ longest run of the season. The run is Dwight’s longest as a Jet and his longest since 2004.

Cedric Houston picked up his 100th career carry early in the second quarter. Cedric ended the game with 50-yard on 11 carries. Houston’s 50 yards are his high for the season. His previous high was 49 versus Indianapolis.

Chad Pennington’s interception in the red zone in the second quarter was only the second red zone interception of Pennington career. The pass was picked off in the end zone by linebacker Brian Urlacher.

Safety Kerry Rhodes picked up his fourth sack of the season when he dropped quarterback Rex Grossman for a loss of eight yards late in the second quarter. Rhodes ended the night as the third leading tackler for the Jets with eight total tackles.

The 80 yards allowed by the Jets defense in the first half is the fewest allowed this season by the Jets in the first half. The previous low was 112 versus Miami.

Justin Miller 14-yard kick return early in the fourth quarter put him over 1,000 kick return yards for the season. Miller now has 1,012 kick return yards and 2,589 career yards. Miller surpasses Aaron Glenn for third all-time on the Jets list. Second is Bobby Humphery with 2,974. Miller is also only the second Jet to accrue 1,000 kickoff return yards in each of his first two seasons. Bruce Harper accomplished the feat in 1977 and 1978.
