A first-round pick in the 1998 NFL Draft, Faneca originally made a name for himself playing for the Steelers where he played 10 seasons. In all but one of those seasons, the Steelers had a top-10 rushing attack as he helped lead the team to the Super Bowl XL before leaving to join the Jets prior to the 2008 season. In New York, Faneca assisted the offensive line unit, one that contributed to leading the Jets to the AFC Championship Game in 2009. He was named first-team All-Pro six times, second-team All-Pro twice, and was a Pro Bowl selection nine times. Faneca was also named to the All-Decade team of the 2000.
