A first-round pick (20 overall) in the 1989 draft, Steve Atwater made an impact as a rookie. He registered 129 tackles, helping the Denver Broncos allow the fewest points in the league that year. Over the course of his career, he recorded 24 interceptions, returning for 408 yards and a touchdown, tallied five sacks, and registered over 1,000 tackles. Atwater was a Pro Bowler eight times, was named first-team All-Pro twice, and was named to the NFL's All-Decade Team of the 1990s.
