The Jets (3-7) lost the Cardinals (6-4), 31-6, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ, on Sunday. Here are three takeaways from the game.

Scant Results for Long Drives
The Jets' offense had four of its six possessions end at the Cardinals' 27-yard line and closer in, which resulted in 6 points. All four possessions were double-digit drives and two consumed more than six minutes.

"It's weird because you look at the score and you would think we were just three-and-out, three-and-out, three-and-out and that wasn't even the case," said WR Davante Adams, who led the team with 6 catches (31 yards). "It was just a matter of not being able to capitalize and maximize the opportunities in the drives that we had. We can go score and kick 3 [points] and take moral victories, but that doesn't help our defense or morale. We have too many good players to go out there and have as many drives as we did and not score touchdowns."

QB Aaron Rodgers led his unit 46 yards on 10 plays to open the second half, but down 24-6, went for it on fourth-and-goal from the Arizona 3-yard line. Rodgers was strip-sacked by Xavier Thomas, which was recovered by LB Kyzir White to stop the Green & White from scoring.

"Unfortunately, we had Conk [TE Tyler Conklin] in the back of the end zone for a touchdown," Rodgers said. "It would've made things a little bit different, 24 to 13 or 14 there. I liked the play calls. If I could miss a spot slightly, maybe on the one to Davante [Adams nearly reeled in a touchdown the play before in the back of the end zone but was tipped by S Dadrion Taylor-Demerson].

"I feel like we kind of got beat off the left side a little quick and should have maybe just moved. They got up right away, but by the time I saw Conk, he was supposed to run a different route, but he made a nice adjustment. Kind of just went into empty space. It was one of those bang-bang plays and you were one-tenth of a second from getting that ball off for a touchdown. Instead, it's a sack-fumble, turnover."

Rush Defense
Entering Sunday's game, the Jets were prepared for a bruising group of Cardinals runners with the NFL's No. 6 rushing attack. The Green & White held RB James Conner to 33 yards on 12 carries (2.8 avg) ,but let up 147 yards on 32 tries (4.6 avg).

Arizona's leading rusher was bruising rookie RB Trey Benson (10-62), who averaged 5.2 yards after contact. Cardinals RB Emari Demercado averaged 8.3 yards after contact and RB DeeJay Dallas 4.3.

"It was terrible execution," S Isaiah Oliver said. "Defensively, it was probably one of the worst games we've played here as a Jet in a long time. It was just disappointing. Embarrassing, honestly.

"Execution and that's from the players not executing the plays. We weren't tackling. Everything else felt the same from our strain to finish, effort and things like that, but execution-wise, it's the worst it's been, by far, this year in my opinion."

Replacements Impress
The Jets started their third kicker in as many games -- Spencer Shrader, a rookie undrafted free agent, received the nod for the Green & White as interim HC Jeff Ulbrich was looking for "a live leg." Shrader boomed all three of his kickoffs out of the back of the end zone and easily made both field goals -- the first from 25 yards and the second from 45.

After starting at right tackle and filling in at right guard, rookie Olu Fashanu played the second half at his natural position, left tackle, because Tyron Smith was dealing with a neck injury. Fashanu, the No. 11 overall pick, took 31 snaps (26 pass blocking and 5 run blocking).
