QB Aaron Rodgers was a limited participant in the team's walkthrough and added to the injury report Wednesday with hamstring and knee issues, which he sustained in the Jets 37-15 loss to the Steelers Sunday night.
Following team activities Wednesday, however, Rodgers assured the media that the injuries have not affected his play.
"I feel good on gamedays," Rodgers said. "The ankle responded really well. I just have some swelling in my knee from time to time, but I don't think it's going to be an issue."
Rodgers entered the Pittsburgh game with a lingering ankle injury he sustained versus Denver in Week 3. And on Sunday night, the hamstring and knee injuries "flared up," according to interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich.
"I think based on the rules you have to maybe put down anything you're getting treatment for," Rodgers said. "So yeah, I got treatment yesterday for my little hamstring tightness and my knee."
Rodgers has been a steady for the Jets offense this year throwing 10 touchdown passes and 7 interceptions in 7 starts. He is seventh in the NFL in passing yards (1,663) and first in pass attempts (256) completing just over 61%.
The Jets (2-5) and Rodgers will spend the week gearing up for their second game of the season against the Patriots. The Green & White defeat New England, 24-3, in Week 3 and Rodgers played his best game throwing for 281 yards and 2 touchdowns.
"They're going to assess the injury all week long," Ulbrich said. "He's going to treat his butt off like he always does, and I don't anticipate this affecting him in playing."
