The Jets have completed an interview with Alec Halaby for their general manager position.
Halaby, who has an analytics background, has been the Eagles assistant general manager since 2022 and has been with the organization for 17 years since he was hired as an intern in 2007 in the football operations department. Other than analytics, Halaby's responsibilities include working with pro and college scouts, sports performance and the salary cap.
Before being named assistant GM, he spent 2016-21 as the team's vice president of football operations and strategy. He's also served as a special assistant to the GM (2012-15) and player personnel analyst (2010-11).
Halaby, from Madison, WI, graduated from Harvard in 2009 with an English major and an economics minor.
Jets Chairman Woody Johnson is leading the searches for a general manager and head coach. He hired The 33rd Team in a support role to help identify and vet candidates in addition to coordinating interviews.
