The New York Jets have waived center Taylor Boggs. The announcement was made by general manager Mike Tannenbaum.
Boggs (6'3", 285) signed with the Jets as an undrafted free agent July 28. He began training camp with the Jets but was placed on injured reserve on Aug. 15. He started in 43 games and was named team captain three times at Humboldt State. He was named to the All-GNAC second team and was named one of the NSCA's All-American Strength and Conditioning Athletes of the Year.
