The New York Jets have won four straight games for the first time since 2010. Each game is crucial in the AFC playoff picture, as they're in a three-way tie for a Wild Card spot with the Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers.
Week 16 brings the ultimate test with the New England Patriots traveling to MetLife Stadium. While you watch Gang Green try to make it five straight, which players will be on your FanDuel NFL roster?
Jets Fighting for Playoff Lives Against Divisional Foe
QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (FanDuel Price: $7,700)
Fitzpatrick's streak of scoring 20-plus FanDuel points and throwing multiple touchdowns ended at three, but he's still a solid value play under center.
New England is almost as stingy against the run as the Jets are, so coming away with a win could be up to Fitzpatrick's arm. Over the past 10 games he's played from start to finish, he's thrown less than 34 times just once. This gives him a great chance to at least double his salary in FanDuel points.
RB Bilal Powell (FanDuel Price: $5,900)
As we just said, the Patriots defense is good against the run. In their first meeting, New England limited Chris Ivory to 53 total yards, and he's had a tough time putting up FanDuel points over the past three weeks.
That's coincided with Powell putting up three consecutive games of 16-plus FDPs. He hasn't rushed the ball more than 10 times in a game since Week 3, but he's been targeted 25 times in the past three weeks through the air, along with scoring three total touchdowns.
With no tight end stealing targets, Powell is going to remain involved in the game plan, and provides tremendous value since he's $1,000 less than Ivory on FanDuel.
WR Eric Decker (FanDuel Price: $7,600)
Consistency certainly pays off in fantasy football. Dating back to last year, Decker has now either posted 90-plus receiving yards or scored a touchdown in 13 straight games.
The Patriots are very good at stopping an opposing team's favorite target, and this week that's Brandon Marshall. While he was limited to catching four of seven targets for 67 yards in their first meeting, Decker caught six of 12 targets for 94 yards.
The defense's attention will be focused on Marshall, leaving Decker potentially open for more targets, which means more chances at scoring FanDuel points.
Spoiling the Patriots' chances at home-field advantage
QB Tom Brady (FanDuel Price: $8,800)
The Patriots' run game is a mess because of injuries, but that doesn't matter. If the Jets plan on beating New England, they must find a way to contain Brady, who's thrown multiple TDs in 13 of the 14 games he's played this year. The last time these two met, Brady threw the ball 54 times for 355 yards and two TDs, while also running another one in.
Without a sturdy running game, New England will likely be poised to once again throw a lot, and New York must be ready.
TE Rob Gronkowski (FanDuel Price: $8,200)
Julian Edelman will likely still be out this week, while Danny Amendola is nursing a knee injury that could keep him sidelined, as well.
Brady still has his favorite target in Gronkowski, though. The big tight end was targeted 16 times in their first game against the Jets, catching 11 for 108 yards and a touchdown. New York must find a way to contain these two in order to prolong its winning streak and keep playoff hopes alive.
