John Conner 5 Round Draft Pick 2010
The New York Jets have signed fullback John Conner, their fifth-round draft choice. The announcement was made by general manager Mike Tannenbaum.
Conner (5'11", 246) was selected 139th overall by the Jets out of Kentucky in the 2010 NFL Draft. He played in a school-record 53 games and earned 27 starts during his five seasons. Primarily a lead blocker, Conner finished his collegiate career with 247 yards and four touchdowns on 54 carries and 193 yards and four touchdowns on 25 receptions. He was granted a medical hardship as a freshman in 2005 after sustaining a season-ending injury.
