At some point soon, Matt Forte will address the media for the first time as a New York Jet. But after eight years in Chicago, Forté sent an introductory note on Instagram to his new fan base.
In addition to addressing his championship aspirations, the 30-year-old Forté also expressed the desire to capture a rushing title like Curtis Martin. At 31 years of age, the workhorse Martin won a rushing title in 2004 with 1,697 yards. That actually occurred in Martin's 10th season while Forté, who has rushed for 1,000 yards in three of the past four seasons, is entering his ninth professional season.
