Big Jets fans come in all shapes, sizes and ages. And one of the newer members of Jets Nation is 9-year-old Jayden, who has demonstrated his fan qualifications by writing the winning essay in the "Biggest Kid Fan Contest" and earning a pair of tickets to attend Sunday's Super Bowl XLVIII at MetLife Stadium and watch the big game from owner Woody Johnson's suite.
Johnson was the judge of this contest, which was open to kids from ages 6-13, and he read through all the essays of 100 to 150 words that answered this question: Why are you the biggest Jets fan?
Jayden, from Voorhees, NJ, submitted the winning essay in which he detailed the favorite part of his gameday routine, tailgating, expressed his admiration for a new Jets passing combination — "It's terrific when Geno Smith throws a pass to Jeremy Kerley. When he catches it, I jump so high out of my seat that I touch the sky" — and declaring that "It would be the best day of my nine year old life to receive the prize winning tickets."
Jayden, who will attend Sunday's game with his father, David, will have his essay posted on newyorkjets.com in the coming days and we'll stop by to see how he's doing before and after the opening kickoff between the Broncos and Seahawks.
