The Jets have activated CB Bless Austin and waived LB B.J. Bello.
Austin, the team's sixth-round pick in 2019, was placed on the active/non-football-injury list July 22. The Rutgers product has been rehabbing from a knee injury suffered in the Scarlet Knights' 2018 season-opener. In four years at RU (25 games), the 6'1", 198-pounder racked up four interceptions, 18 pass defenses, two sacks and five tackles for loss.
Bello signed with the Green & White last Wednesday after a stint with on the Packers practice squad earlier this season. A 2017 undrafted free agent, the 6'3", 229-pounder has totaled eight tackles in 19 games with the Browns and Eagles.
