Jets CB Antonio Cromartie is inactive for tonight's colorful Thursday Night Football matchup between the Jets and Bills at MetLife Stadium.
Cromartie (quad) was listed as "doubtful" on Wednesday to play tonight by head coach Todd Bowles. Yet "Cro" was seen jogging hours before the scheduled 8:25 p.m. ET kickoff.
But Cromartie, who has played in 151 regular-season games and has sat out only one game in his 10-year NFL career — and that only to rest in Game 16 in 2010 before the playoffs (coincidentally a home game vs. the Bills) — will miss the first game of his career due to injury.
The Jets have announced that CB Marcus Williams, who has a team-high four interceptions this season, including two on Sunday against Jacksonville, will start for Cromartie.
Also getting starting assignments tonight are Brian Winters at RG for Willie Colon (knee), who has been placed on injured reserve, and Rontez Miles, who made his NFL defensive debut vs. the Jaguars, in his pro starting debut at S for the injured Calvin Pryor (ankle) and Dion Bailey (ankle).
Also, fourth-year kicker Randy Bullock will be handling the placekicking and kickoff duty for Nick Folk, also placed on IR.

The Jets will be in their new Thursday night Kelly green jerseys/shirts/socks/shoes/gloves as part of the NFL Nike Color Rush campaign. This will be the first game the Jets have worn Kelly since the 1997 season. The Jets have won seven of their last 10 in Jets green jerseys and pants. The Bills will be wearing all red uniforms for this game.
