Following the Jets' final practice of the week, head coach Todd Bowles ruled out cornerback Buster Skrine (concussion) and the Jets have listed fellow corner Trumaine Johnson as (quad) as doubtful. Reigning AFC Offensive of the Player Week Isaiah Crowell, who was limited as practice Friday, is questionable for Sunday's contest vs. the Colts.
"It'll be a game day decision so we'll work him out Sunday and see where he's at," Bowles said of Crowell.
Crowell has stayed active in the film room watching a lot of film and has a "tremendous" level of confidence in his O-line.
"I knew come Week 1 what they can do," said Crowell, whose 390 rush yards rank third in the NFL. "It's basically going out there and playing together, having everything come together and play as one, as a whole offense. It takes everybody to be successful, so we all have to go out there and play."
As for the secondary, Bowles said it'll be "all hands on deck" between Darryl Roberts, Parry Nickerson, Rashard Robinson, Juston Burris and Derrick Jones. Robinson was activated to the 53-man roster earlier this week after serving a four-game NFL suspension.
"We'll see," Bowles said of Robinson's workload Sunday. "He was allowed to come to meetings and was around the building. He's acclimated himself very well and we'll go from there."
"Special" Roberts Never Stops
Through five weeks, Jets returner Andre Roberts leads the NFL in both punt return yards (231) and punt return average (23.1). In Week 1, Roberts returned a punt 78 yards to the house and he broke loose again last week against the Broncos for a 51-yard return.
"I think that one thing that has really impressed me is that the guy never stops," special teams coordinator Brant Boyer said of Roberts. "I know one thing, thinking back to when I was playing, I would love to block for a guy like that. I told the team in there on Monday that I would have loved to have blocked for a guy like that because the guy never stops. He never stops playing. Right, wrong or indifferent, the guy never stops, and that's a quality that not many returners have."
The next step for Roberts and the return unit comes on kickoff returns as the nine-year veteran ranks 12th in the NFL in return yards (137) and average (17.1). But Roberts has averaged 14 yards per return the past two weeks compared to his 22-yard average in Weeks 1 and 3 (no returns Week 2).
"I think that'll help the offense out a lot with even better field position with that part of the game," Roberts said. "Just try to be consistent. Everything we do we have to try to be consistent. Keep being consistent, keep producing and we'll be alright."

The Colts offensive line has been mixing and matching all season due to injuries and left tackle Anthony Castonzo will make regular season debut Sunday. As a result, Jets outside linebacker Jordan Jenkins has watched film on every tackle Indianapolis has put on tape.
"It actually makes it worse on you because you have to game plan for two or three different guys," Jenkins said of the shuffling of personnel. "You don't know who you're facing. If I had a clear-cut idea of who I'd be going against, it'd be all fine and dandy. But looking at the injury report, you see who might be coming up. You have to put extra film time in."
