The Jets have placed LB C.J. Mosley on injured reserve and have claimed S Bennett Jackson.
Mosley injured his groin in the season opener against the Bills and returned to action in Week 7, but he reaggravated his injury against the Patriots. He totaled 12 tackles, one quarterback hit and two pass defenses in two games for the Jets. The 6'2", 250-pounder also recorded an interception that he returned for a touchdown in Week 1. Mosley, a four-time Pro Bowler, 588 tackles, 8.5 sacks and 37 pass defenses in his six-year career.
Jackson was claimed by the Jets Sept. 1 and was waived two weeks later. He then joined the team's practice squad but was signed to the Ravens' active roster Oct. 15. The 6'0", 192-pounder made his NFL debut this season and played in four games for Baltimore while totaling five tackles. Originally a Giants' sixth-round pick in 2014, Jackson played with New York's NFC representative for two seasons, but landed on IR twice.
