The Jets have placed OT Chuma Edoga and WR Jeff Smith on injured reserve. The team also signed WR Keon Hatcher to the practice squad and released C Ryan Crozier from the P-squad.
Edoga, a third-round pick in 2019, started eight games his rookie season. He played at both tackle spots, becoming a fixture in the lineup from Weeks 5-12. The 6'3", 308-pound Edoga hasn't played since he hurt his knee in Week 12 against the Raiders.
Smith was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster Dec. 9 and had 1 catch for 12 yards against the Ravens. The 6'1", 195-pounder signed as an undrafted free agent out of Boston College in May.
Hatcher, who originally signed with the Lions P-squad in 2017 after going undrafted, was released from the Packers' practice squad Oct. 31. The Arkansas product played with the Raiders in three games last year and totaled 1 catch for 8 yards.
Crozier, a rookie out of UConn, spent the summer with the Broncos. He was waived Sept. 6 and signed to the Jets' practice squad on Nov. 20.
