The Jets added at third running back to the active roster Saturday, promoting De'Angelo Henderson from the practice squad. In order to make room for Henderson, the Green & White released CB Juston Burris.
A sixth-round pick of the Broncos in the 2017 draft, the 5'7", 208-pound Henderson appeared in five games last season for Denver and had nine touches including one scoring reception. He has spent the majority of the 2018 campaign on the Jets' practice squad.
The Coastal Carolina product, a 5'7", 208-pounder, played in 50 games for the Chanticleers and rushed for 4,635 yards and 58 touchdowns. Henderson also recorded 97 receptions for 921 yards and six scores.
In three seasons with the Jets, Burris totaled 37 tackles, two interceptions and seven pass defenses in 34 games. Originally the Green & White's fourth-round draft choice in 2016, the NC State product ranked third on the team with six special teams tackles in 2016.
