The Jets have released DB Darryl Roberts.
Roberts started in 10 of the 13 games he appeared in this past season and registered 62 tackles, 6 pass defenses and 1 interception. This past season, Roberts was one of eight different players who started at cornerback and he also played some safety when Jamal Adams missed action in Weeks 14-15. A seventh-round pick of the Patriots in the 2015 NFL Draft, Roberts was waived and the 6'0", 182-pounder was claimed by New York's AFC representative on September 4, 2016. The sixth-year veteran has totaled 172 tackles, 27 PD and 3 INT in 56 games (26 starts).
