The Jets have released kicker Cairo Santos.
After signing with the Green & White in March, Santos wasn't able to kick in training camp due to a groin injury.
The 5'8", 160-pound Santos, who became the first Brazilian to play in the NFL when he entered the league an undrafted free agent with Kansas City in 2014, has appeared in 53 career games and connected on 84.1% of his field goals.
Rookie Taylor Bertolet has been with the Jets throughout camp and the team added Jason Myers on waivers from Seattle on Tuesday.
