Jets Scouts to Study the Seniors

The Senior Bowl released its rosters Wednesday and more than 100 of the nation's top senior prospects will begin to check in down in Mobile, AL, this weekend. Jets general manager John Idzik and the entire scouting staff will be on hand early next week as the North and the South teams conduct daily practices.

Then each evening, the Jets — and every other NFL club — will conduct both formal and informal interviews with the prospects. The North team will be coached up by the Atlanta Falcons while the South unit will be led by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

There will be a lot of top level talent on hand as Fresno State QB Derek Carr, Vanderbilt WR Jordan Matthews, Texas WR Mike Davis, Arizona State DT Will Sutton and Florida State LB Christian Jones will all line up for the South.

The North roster includes Clemson QB Tajh Boyd, Ohio State RB Carlos Hyde, Notre Dame T Zack Martin, Baylor G Cyril Richardson, Minnesota DT Ra'Shede Hageman, Stanford DE Trent Murphy, Pittsburgh DT Aaron Donald and Wisconsin LB Chris Borland.

The Green & White have a number of Senior Bowl graduates on their current roster, including Quinton Coples, Demario Davis, D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Nick Folk, David Harris, Jeremy Kerley, Nick Mangold, Bilal Powell, Kyle Wilson and Brian Winters.

Our Jets multimedia crew have their bags packed and we will provide daily updates from Mobile beginning late Monday/early Tuesday. I promise to be active on Twitter — @eallenjets — throughout the week as we catch up with Jets personnel, college prospects and hopefully a few draft experts.
