The Jets have signed K Anders Carlson and TE Neal Johnson to reserve/future contracts.
Carlson (6-5, 219), an Auburn product who was a sixth-round pick (No. 207) of the Packers in 2023, signed with the Jets' practice squad on Nov. 7 and to the active roster on Nov. 19. He made 8-of-10 field-goal attempts (80%) and 9-of-11 extra-point attempts (81.8%) in five games.
As a rookie, he made 81% of his field-goal attempts and 87% of his extra point attempts. After his release from the Packers on Aug. 27, Carlson signed with the 49ers' practice squad on Oct. 15 and was added to the active roster for two games before being released on Nov. 5. He kicked for five seasons at Auburn and connected on 72% of his field-goal attempts and 98% of his extra-point attempts.
Johnson (6-4, 250), who went undrafted in 2024, signed with the Rams in May and was waived in early August when he joined the Green & White's practice squad. He was then released from the P-squad on Dec. 24. Prior to the pros, Johnson spent five seasons at Louisiana, playing in 59 games and was an All-Sun Belt Conference honorable mention in 2022. In his final season with the Cajuns, Johnson caught 30 passes for 383 yards and 5 touchdowns – including 3 scores over the final three weeks.
