The Jets have signed K Ross Martin to a reserve/future contract.
Martin originally signed with the team May 5th as an undrafted free agent and spent the entirety of training camp in Florham Park. The Duke product was cut Aug. 28 following a preseason matchup against the crosstown Giants. The 5'9", 183-pounder connected on four of his six field goals in the preseason, one of which was a 55-yarder.
Martin was very successful in college, becoming one of three players in ACC history to register 400-plus points. He also set the Blue Devils' single-season record for field goals made (26/30) and points (120) his senior year.
