The Jets signed running back George Atkinson and waived tight end Bucky Hodges.

Atkinson spent the majority of last season on the Chiefs' practice squad and signed a reserve/future contract before he was waived in April. The Notre Dame product originally signed with the Raiders after going undrafted in 2014 and he spent the following season on and off the Raiders' practice squad. The 6'1", 220-pounder was a final cut in 2016 and since he's spent time with the Browns and Chiefs. For his career, Atkinson has appeared in 21 games and has tallied seven carries for 34 yards and one score.

Hodges signed with the Jets in April after stints with the Vikings and Panthers. The Virginia Tech product was Minnesota's 2017 sixth-round draft choice and was waived/injured in September and placed on injured reserve.
