The Jets signed RB-KR Travaris Cadet and placed WR Charone Peake on injured reserve.
Cadet has spent the majority of his career with the Saints, where he overlapped from 2015-16 with Jets offense coordinator John Morton. The six-year vet originally signed with New Orleans in 2012 after he went undrafted out of Appalachian State. Cadet has predominantly been a receiving threat throughout his career as he totaled 840 yards and seven touchdowns, four of which came last season, through the air. On the ground, the 6'1", 210-pounder has 84 rushing yards on 26 carries. The 28-year-old Cadet also has return experience, tallying 1,531 yards on 63 returns for an average of 24.3 yards.
Peake injured his ankle in the Jets' 20-6 Week 3 win over the Dolphins. A seventh-round pick of the Jets in the 2016 NFL Draft, the Clemson product had 19 receptions his rookie season and appeared in all of the Green & White's three contests in 2017.
