The Jets have signed kicker Taylor Bertolet after kicker Chandler Catanzaro retired.
Bertolet last played for the Salt Lake Stallions of the Alliance of American Football where he connected on nine of his 14 field goal attempts, including 4-for-7 from over 50 yards. He later joined the Broncos in April and was subsequently waived in July. The 5'9", 188-pounder, who spent last summer with the Jets, played collegiately at Texas A&M while appearing in 52 games for the Aggies from 2012-15, and connected on 66% of his field goal attempts and 100% of his extra points.
Catanzaro rejoined the Jets in April after spending last season with the Buccaneers and Panthers. For his career, the 28-year-old converted on 83.8% of his field goals and 92.9% of his extra points.
