The Jets will be going into AFC East battle against the New England Patriots today again without C Nick Mangold.

Mangold, who was limited at Friday's practice, will still miss his fourth straight game with the ankle injury he first sustained against Baltimore. Wesley Johnson, filling in strongly for Mangold, will again get the start against the Patriots.

LB/ST Bruce Carter is active for this game after missing three games with an ankle injury.

WR Devin Smith is still waiting to make his 2016 debut. The second-year man came off the PUP list for the Rams game but was deactivated, and he's inactive again today.

The Jets' seven inactives today:
■ QB Christian Hackenberg
■ WR Charone Peake
■ WR Devin Smith
■ CB Marcus Williams
■ CB Nick Marshall
■ T Brandon Shell
■ C Nick Mangold

And the Patriots' no-surprises inactives:
■ RB DJ Foster
■ CB Justin Coleman
■ DL Woodrow Hamilton
■ WR Matthew Slater
■ T LaAdrian Waddle
■ TE Matt Lengel
■ CB Cyrus Jones

QB Tom Brady and TEs Rob Gronkowski and Martellus Bennett were all listed as questionable on Friday but all are active.

Todd Bowles' gameday captains are QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, WR Brandon Marshall, CB Darrelle Revis and LB David Harris.

The Jets are wearing green jerseys and white pants today. They also wore green and white two weeks ago against Los Angeles for the first time this season. Before the loss to the Rams, the Jets had won five in a row in green/white under Bowles.

Brad Allen is the referee. It's Allen's fourth Jets game as the referee since 2014. The previous three games were all Green & White losses, all at MetLife — to Denver and New England in '14 and to Buffalo last year.
