The Jets (3-10) lost the Dolphins (6-7), 32-26 in overtime, in South Florida on Sunday. Here are three takeaways from the game.

Wilson Makes Jets History
After a quiet three-game stretch with 100 combined receiving yards, Garrett Wilson found his form against the Dolphins and led the Jets with a team-high 114 yards on 7 catches. It was his ninth game of his career that he eclipsed the century mark and his fourth this season.

Wilson, who is tied for second in the NFL with 81 receptions and ranks No. 8 with 877 yards, reached 3,000 career receiving yards Sunday, his 47th game since he was drafted No. 10 overall in 2022. He tied Jets WRs Keyshawn Johnson and George Sauer for the fourth-fewest games to reach that mark in team history. The only players for the Green & White to reach 3,000 receiving yards in fewer games are Art Powell (39), Don Maynard (44) and Al Toon (46), according to Opta Stats.

Wilson's 3,022 receiving yards, however, are more than any Jets receiver in franchise history through their first three seasons, according to "The NFL on CBS."

On Sunday, Wilson was predominantly covered by Dolphins three-time first-team All-Pro and seven-time Pro Bowl CB Jalen Ramsey. Wilson caught 4 of his 6 targets for 97 yards with Ramsey as the nearest defender, the most receiving yards Ramsey has allowed to a single player since at least 2017, according to Next Gen Stats.

Sherwood Continues to Soar
Jets mic linebacker Jamien Sherwood continues to excel in his first season as a full-time starter. He led the team with 18 tackles Sunday and had 2 tackles for loss and a pass defense. His 121 tackles this season are the fourth most in the league.

Sherwood, drafted as a safety out of Auburn in the fourth round in 2021, became the third Jet in 30 years to have at least 13 solo tackles -- LB David Harris had 20 in 2007 and LB Eric Barton had 14 in 2008. Sherwood is the only player in the NFL this season to have multiple games with at least 17 tackles and the first Jet since Harris in 2007.

For the second time this season, Sherwood hit double-digit tackles and is the only player in the league to do so.

"If you watch that game and you don't get inspired by the play of Jamien Sherwood then you don't really love and appreciate this game at all," interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich said. "He was everywhere. The stat line said 18 tackles, but it felt like more than that. He's a guy that's been so important to this defense and he's brought so much energy and positivity and leadership. For his play to really start to reflect that preparation, it's a beautiful thing to see. He's a guy that's absolutely deserving of the success he's had."

Rodgers' Best Game of '24 Season
For the first time since December 2021 and the 70th time in his Hall-of-Fame career, Aaron Rodgers threw for more than 300 passing yards. He completed 27 of 39 for 339 yards and 1 TD for a 104.5 passer rating.

Rodgers led an offense that produced more than 400 yards of offense (402) for the second time this season and the second-most yards per play in a game this season (6.4). He became the first Jets QB since Mike White in 2022 to throw for more than 250 passing yards in the first three quarters of a game.

The offense, however, struggled in the red zone although it reached inside the 20-yard line on five consecutive drives, the most since 2022. It converted on two of its five trips (40%).

"We had some good stretches," Rodgers said. "We scored the first five possessions. Got to be better in the red zone. We had a couple negative-yard plays and false starts that hurt us, but I felt like we moved the ball pretty efficiently. We obviously had the two three-and-outs [in the fourth quarter] and we're back tied and put together a nice drive to get down [the field] and take the lead. Even on that drive, we had negative-yard plays down there at like the 25, so, disappointing."
