GM Joe Douglas Says Jets Will Not Trade Haason Reddick

Veteran Pass Rusher Has Not Reported to Training Camp

On Monday, Jets pass rusher HaasonHaason Reddick requested a trade from the team, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. Jets GM Joe Douglas released a statement this afternoon that the team has no plans to deal the newly acquired edge rusher, who was placed on the reserve/did not report list on July 25.

"We have informed Haason that we will not trade him, that he is expected to be here with his teammates, and that he will continue to be fined per the CBA if he does not report,"Douglas said in a statement. "Since the trade discussions back in March, we have been clear, direct and consistent with our position. Our focus will remain on the guys we have here as we prepare for the regular season."

Reddick has missed the first 14 practices of training camp after the he was acquired Apr. 1via trade with the Eagles in exchange for a conditional 2026 third-round pick. The two-time Pro Bowler played in 17 games last season for Philadelphia and totaled 11 sacks, 38 tackles and 13 tackles for loss.
