Arizona WR Tetairoa McMillan, projected to be one of, if not, the first receiver selected in the NFL Draft in late April, believes he would fit well in New York whether for the Jets, who hold the No. 7 overall pick, or the Giants with the No. 3 pick.
"I think I would love it," McMillan said at the Combine this past Friday. "I feel like I'm a very diverse person. I'm able to be put in any locker room, any place in the world and I feel like I can adjust to it. That's part of football. It doesn't matter where I play whether it's hot, whether it's cold. They we want to win and we want to be great."
McMillan, who is from Hawaii and went to high school in Anaheim, CA, met with the Jets and said it would be "lovely" to play opposite WR Garrett Wilson. McMillan (6-4, 219) has a reputation for being a 50/50 ball winner, which he attributes to his basketball and volleyball background. He, however, thinks the rest of the game is underappreciated.
"I feel like people sleep on my ability with the ball in my hands," he said. "Obviously everybody knows about my 50/50 balls and my catch radius, but I feel I can get in and out of my breaks well as a big receiver."
A consensus All-American in 2024, McMillan led the Big 12 with 1,319 yards to go with 84 receptions and 8 touchdowns.

Ohio State has become a pipeline for NFL wide receivers and Emeka Egbuka is in the batter's box.
"If the Jets decide to take me or something like that, that would be a dream come true for me," Egbuka said. "Garrett [Wilson] is one of my closest friends. We talk consistently, so I'm never going to be mad at the fact that we're sharing the same field."
During Egbuka's time in Columbus, he shared a room with five first-round picks – Wilson, Chris Olave, Jameson Williams, Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Marvin Harrison.
"I think some of you can just picture what that room was like and that was really the reason I decided to go to Ohio State," he said. "I didn't want to go to a place where I wasn't going to be challenged by my peers. I wanted to go to a place where in order to see the field, I had to grow and at an exponential rate because they were all growing as well. Being able to play with them and just being in that competitive atmosphere is why I'm standing before you all today."
Patience Is a Virtue
Texas WR Matthew Golden's draft stock has been on a rapid rise since December. Golden, whose 4.29 40-yard dash at the Combine was the second-fastest time of any player, tallied 411 yards in the final four games of the Longhorns' 2024 season that ended with a loss in the national championship game. He had 576 yards in the first 12 games.
"It was just the ball finding me at the right time," Golden said at the Combine. "Stay consistent and stay down until my opportunity was granted to me, so I tried to do my best to contribute to the team when the ball wasn't finding me."
Golden (5-10, 191), a Houston native, started his collegiate career at the University of Houston where he played two seasons and shared the field with Texans WR Tank Dell.
"I can play inside and out," he said. "You can move me anywhere. I can get open at any phase, at any level. … I'm reliable on special teams also, so I feel like I could change the game in any way."
Same Helmet, Different Style
Iowa State wide receivers Jaylin Noel (5-10, 194) and Jayden Higgins (6-4, 214) have different body types but were equally impressive in their Combine workouts.
Noel's 23 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press led all receivers and his 41.5-inch vertical and 11-2 broad jump tied for the best. He also ran a 4.39 40-yard dash.
Higgins ran a 4.47 40 and had a 9.87 RAS score (relative athletic score that compares NFL draft prospects' athleticism to others at their position). He ranked 46th out of 3,408 wideouts from 1987-2025.
"We really learn from each other, watching each other's film and just seeing what we like from each other's game" Noel said of Higgins. … "We really just take pieces from each other's game and see what can make us better."
The two combined for 167 receptions, 2,377 yards and 17 touchdowns in 2024, catching passes from QB Rocco Becht, the son of the Jets' former TE Anthony Becht who was drafted by the Green & White in the first round in 2000.
