"Sure, the weather was bad. But that was an ugly game that exposed some things about the Jets."
NFL.com - 15th
"A sack of Aaron Rodgers on the first play of Sunday's game set the tone. It was followed by Garrett Wilson losing a fumble on the third offensive snap of the game. The Jets had three penalties inside their own 5-yard line on their second drive. Breece Hall went nowhere on the third possession. They had false start penalties on third-and-3 and fourth-and-goal (from the Broncos' 1-yard line) on their next two possessions. On and on it went for New York, which could have brought back the 2023 offense to turn in that kind of effort on a rainy, dreary day. It spoiled a great game from the defense, which only allowed Denver to mount one drive of more than 41 yards. Amazingly, the Jets had a chance to win, but their final three drives came up short, with Greg Zuerlein missing a go-ahead kick in the last minute. Every time we think they're making incremental progress, the Jets take a step back."
ESPN - 16th
"Only one interception. The Jets have an effective pass rush (14 sacks) and play good pass defense, so they should have more than one pick. The only player with an interception is backup nickelback Brandin Echols, who made his play as an injury replacement in Week 2. None of the regulars has an interception, including All-Pro cornerback Sauce Gardner, whose drought is up to 28 games. All of this is head-scratching because the Jets should be in an ideal position to make interceptions as a zone-heavy team."
FOX Sports - 17th
"I think the Jets are a better team than this overall, but it sure didn't look like it in Week 4. I've got no choice but to drop you if you fail to score a touchdown at home against a team led by a rookie QB. It's the type of loss that haunts you all season."

"Last week's impressive win over the New England Patriots looked to be something of a springboard game for the New York Jets. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers looked sharp. Gang Green was on its way with a mediocre (at best) Denver Broncos team next up. Well, as it turned out, that Week 3 win didn't springboard the Jets into anything but a puddle of rainwater. The weather was truly miserable in Sunday's one-point loss to the Broncos—neither team had even 250 yards of offense. But despite the inclement weather, Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers didn't make excuses for his play in Week 4."

"I have covered football in New York long enough to sense the beginning of swirling drama. While I wouldn't quite put the Giants and Jets there yet, Sunday's game against Denver was a massive unforced error. We also won't soon forget the way that Aaron Rodgers replied to the assertion that the Jets should alter their approach at the line, or how the head coach later clarified his comments. This team cannot walk on egg shells and be successful."

"First-round tackle Olu Fashanu got his first start Sunday. Third-round wide receiver Malachi Corley has been a disappointment (one catch, 4 yards), but fourth-round running back Braelon Allen has played well enough (27 carries, 130 yards) that Robert Saleh was having to defend not giving him goal-line carries on Sunday. As for the old guy, quarterback Aaron Rodgers does not seem happy. "When your defense holds them to 10, you've got to win the game 100 percent of the time," he said Sunday."
