NFL Schedule Rollout Set for Tuesday Night

The next big thing on the NFL calendar is getting closer, and I don't mean the draft.

The full 2009 regular-season schedule will soon be out.

The league's annual schedule release is set to take place on Tuesday, April 14, at 7 p.m. EDT. The schedule, for the first time, is being released exclusively on NFL Network and NFL.com. The announcement and analysis of the sked will be part of a two-hour primetime NFL Total Access show that is so big it even has its own sponsor, GMC Sierra.

For Green & White fans who want to see the Jets schedule right away, you should come to newyorkjets.com at 7 p.m. for our own analysis and possible observations from head coach Rex Ryan and Jets players.

For those who are not fans of the Jets and want their team's entire schedule right away, *NFL.com *is the place to go, also on Tuesday at 7. NFL.com will be the first site to have the complete team-by-team and weekly schedules of all 256 regular-season games, listing opponents, sites and times, and will also feature interactive components by giving fans a voice through chats, fan forums and poll questions.

If you see the Jets' schedule anywhere other than newyorkjets.com or *NFL.com *before 7 p.m., close the file and step away from your computer. These schedules are not authorized, may be incorrect and could cause migraines. Wait until the stated time, come to us, and you will be rewarded.

In honor of Jeopardy!, which airs in the New York area at this time, and new Jets CB Lito Sheppard, who is a big Jeopardy buff, here are some of the things you could learn on newyorkjets.com on Tuesday at 7 p.m.:

ANSWER: A K A LC, HE'S CAUGHT EIGHT MORE TD PASSES, 26-18, IN 31 FEWER GAMES AT THE MEADOWLANDS THAN AT ALL OTHER NFL STADIUMS COMBINED.

QUESTION: Who is Laveranues Coles, the Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver who will return to the Meadowlands to play his former team of seven seasons, the Jets?

ANSWER: ENTERING ONLY THEIR EIGHTH SEASON OF NFL LIFE, THEY ARE THE ONLY FRANCHISE THAT HAS NEVER BEATEN THE GREEN & WHITE.

QUESTION: Who are the Houston Texans, who have an 0-3 record vs. the Jets since their inception in 2002?

ANSWER: THE ONLY OTHER TIME THESE INTERCONFERENCE FOES MET IN NEW JERSEY, THE JETS POUNCED FOR A 48-21 VICTORY IN 1998.

QUESTION: Who are the Carolina Panthers?

FINAL JEOPARDY ANSWER: THE LONGTIME JETS ASSISTANT MEDIA RELATIONS DIRECTOR, HE'LL GREET THE JETS IN THEIR FIRST SUPERDOME VISIT SINCE 2001 AS THE SAINTS' SENIOR DIRECTOR OF NEW MEDIA.

QUESTION: Who is Doug Miller?

That last one was real tough. But you get the idea.
