Nicole: Making a Difference at the Pro Bowl

For the sixth straight year, the New York Jets Flight Crew has sent a cheerleader to join the cheer squad at the NFL Pro Bowl. This year's Flight Crew representative is Nicole and below is the second blog she filed Wednesday night on Day 3 of her Honolulu experience:

Hey Jets fans!

I had another memorable day in Hawaii. We started off at practice this morning, then went to get fitted for our official 2013 Pro Bowl rings!

As exciting as that was, the most enjoyable part of the trip by far was this afternoon's visit to the Shriners Hospitals for Children — Honolulu. Having an opportunity to touch the lives of these beautiful children is more important to me than the game itself. They each have contagious smiles and magnificent souls. Just the thought of brightening their day is more than I could ever ask for being here in Hawaii.

As I sat down and played an intense game of Candy Land, I was reminded of just how fortunate I am to represent the New York Jets. It's moments like this that truly warm my heart and give me hope that everyone in this world can make a difference.

We are now headed to the official NFL Welcome party this evening!

Stay warm, New York!

Love,

Nicole
