Interviews after the Jets' 13-11 victory over the Eagles in Philadelphia on Thursday night:

HEAD COACH ERIC MANGINI

I'm obviously very happy with the way we were able to complete the two-minute drive. It was a lot like practice, only without the music going. It was good to see that and to execute that effectively. As for some individual performances, I thought C.J. Mosley did a very nice job. He's been able to, throughout the preseason, provide some pressure in four-man rushes and even three-man rushes. That's been positive, and this is just another part of us being able to evaluate the roster and take a look at the film and, with the coaching staff, we will go into the next phase and transition to a 53-man roster. It's always a tough time of year as a lot of guys have worked extremely hard. I'm thankful for the things they've done and there are a lot of good people and it's just a really difficult part of the process.

On the progress the team has been making ...

It's ongoing, and there are things we need to address in different areas. Tonight obviously we would like to have been better on third downs, both offensively and defensively, but to have had the opportunity to win the game with a two-minute drive was a positive. That's the nice thing about the preseason. So many different situations come up that you can teach off of, learn from and use to make an extensive training camp.

On how the end of this game will help Marques Tuiasosopo ...

I was pleased with the mechanics of that two-minute drive. Being able to operate effectively leading up to the two-minute drive and having the timeouts available is always important whether it's at the end of the game or the end of the half. Having no penalties in the second half was important as well.

On the progress of Chansi Stuckey ...

I've been really happy with Chansi throughout training camp. I think he's done a nice job creating roles for himself. He hadn't been working with the punt return group, but I thought he showed some nice things there. Same thing on kickoff return. He's a very smart person and he works hard at it and he's really taken to Jerricho [Cotchery] and Laveranues [Coles] and Justin [McCareins] and just picking their brains and trying to learn as much as possible.

On Jacob Bender and his potential to start ...

We'll look at Jacob and Adrien [Clarke]. They both played quite a bit there tonight, as well as Wade [Smith], and we'll evaluate all three of those guys.

On Tuiasosopo's performance in the two-minute drill ...

It's important. We talk about it all the time. As a team, a lot of things can go wrong in a game and a lot of things can go right in a game and yet the game still comes down to two minutes. If you can execute that situation effectively, you've got a great chance to win a significant amount of games. I'm pretty sure 10 of our games last year were affected by a two-minute drive one way or the other, including the preseason.

On how valuable it is to practice clock management ...

It's great. That's something you can't simulate where you've got those different situations that come up. Even mechanically after we ran the QB sneak, somebody called timeout from our team, and I'll have to find out who that was. That wasn't something we had talked about. Those things, like having to remind the QB to call a timeout, are all a part of the communication process from the QB to the team in all of those scenarios.

On Darrelle Revis' progression ...

I think he's doing a good job. I like the fact that we've been able to work with what we've had inside in the slot position since he's been back. He's gotten more reps and more experience there. And he's gotten quite a bit of work since he's been here. A lot of practice for us, and lot of time with the coaches — it's going to be an ongoing process. What I liked about his approach is how consistent and diligent he's been. It's very important and that's one of the reasons we drafted him where we did.

On Mosley having done anything different lately ...

I'm sure he'd love to figure it out and bottle it. That was a pretty good series for him. He's done some nice things throughout the preseason. He had that sack last year against Minnesota where we were in a three-man rush. It's just continuing to work your pass-rush plan and get those opportunities in the rush defense or even in the regular defense. He's getting more and more time in the system and that's good.

On his impression of Anthony Schlegel's play ...

He got quite a few reps in the base defense and quite a few in special teams. A lot of those guys got a significant amount of reps in both areas and that was important and a real objective for tonight.

QB MARQUES TUIASOSOPO

On whether he thought the game would end the way it did ...

When there was a personal foul on the Eagles I thought this may be the start of a nice drive. The Eagles did a nice job pinning us down near our goal line and I really think the offense really kept its poise throughout the drive. I really think everyone did such a great job.

On what his assessment was of his own play ...

I think I had a lot of fun and it was so great being around the guys I was around tonight and for the preseason. It was really nice to play in the second half and get a touchdown and then the Eagles go up by one and still win. It was nice to help our team win after a two-minute drive. There are some things I would like to do better, but getting the field goal and winning was really nice.

On how the two-minute drive impressed his coaches ...

I think through training camp that was a big point of emphasis. We really want to be efficient in the two-minute drive and the coaches did such a great job preparing me for this. The guys up front and the receivers were really fired up and wanted to know the play and make it happen.

WR CHANSI STUCKEY

On his performance tonight and through the preseason ...

All my goal was was to go out there and just make plays and see what happens. I wanted to do my job whether it was on special teams or on offense and what was asked of me. I had confidence in myself and I know the organization had confidence in me as well and that is why they drafted me.

On whether being a seventh-round pick made him feel he was behind the eight ball ...

Football is football and if you can play the game it will show out there. You just have to go out there and play hard and just work to continue to get better.

On whether he was happy overall with what he showed in training camp ...

I think things just really came together particularly tonight and a lot of things went my way. I just have to go back and look at the film and really just work to continue to get better.

On whether he was happy with his return game vs. the Eagles ...

I think the guys up front and the lead blockers really did a great job tonight and helped me on my returns. The guys really opened up some great holes and I would really like them to know the great job they did

DE KIMO VON OELHOFFEN

On whether he was worried about being on the bubble ...

Every year you worry. In this league it's nothing more, nothing less. Every year I feel like this.

On if he believes he can still play ...

Oh, yeah. I put in the work. The games went very well, but it is what it is. It's a young boys' game now. We'll see what happens.

LB VICTOR HOBSON

On adapting to a new coach and system ...

You got to get it right with the new guy or it's good-bye. If you don't adjust and go with the new system and the new coaches, you go with the old coaches.

TE CHRIS BAKER

On the last preseason game ...

It's the last preseason game. It's important for the young guys and things like that. The veterans are focused on the opening game; who's who, who we're going to be facing. That's what this time of year brings to the team.

DE MICHAEL HAYNES

On his expections ...

I went to college and I was never supposed to be a starter and I made All-American. I was never supposed to make it to the pros. So I feel like every time my luck has been with me.

On his experiences with the Bears ...

My head coach got fired. We totally switched defenses. I had to drop 30 pounds Lovie [Smith]'s first year. Then I never got an opportunity to play. They went out and traded for [DE] Adewale [Ogunleye] my first weekend there. Obviously it was a case where Lovie and my D-line coach had a conflict somewhere. In fact they got into it over it. How are you going to make a player drop 30 pounds and not give him a chance to play?

RB DANNY WARE

On his play the last couple of preseason games ...

I went out there during the games and really put a good foot forward. I think the offensive line really blocked well for me. I think the coaches had a lot of plays for me that just seemed to work and I hope that it was enough.

On how nervous he was to make the team ...

I'm just going to sit in my room and just relax and say a lot of prayers. I will definitely be talking with my mom and dad and I know they will be saying a lot of prayers for me. It's a little nerve-wracking now because you think you played well enough to make it but you just do not know.

On if preseason was really an eye-opening experience for a rookie ...

I think training camp and the games were pretty much what I had expected. It's a business and you have to treat it like that. I was used to being around some great leaders on a team and I found a lot of them with this team.

K MIKE NUGENT

On how he felt kicking a game winner to end the preseason ...

Kicking field goals at the end of the game is something we like to practice a lot. The coaches here do a great job putting us in some situations like what happened tonight, so it prepares us for what we have to do. They make us comfortable so that when it comes up in a real game we really are prepared.

On whether it felt nice to end preseason with a game-winning kick ...

It was really nice to have it all end on a positive note. You play the way you practice. This was an up-and-down game and it was nice to end it the way we did. This will enable us to move on nicely into the regular season.

On what his expectations are for the Jets this season ...

I have some steep expectations for myself this year and for my teammates. I have seen this team put it all together and be such a strong team. I have learned with the NFL that teams are so equally stacked and any team can beat any team on any given day. If we can keep our poise through the ups and downs of the season, I truly believe we will do some great things.
