Postgame Notes: Jets-Ravens

**

• The Jets defense limited BLT to six rushing yards on 12 attempts, the lowest single-game output allowed in franchise history. It marked the fewest rushing yards allowed in a single game since the defense surrendered 12 rushing yards on nine carries to MIA (11/29/15).
• Under head coach Todd Bowles, the Jets have held opponents to the three lowest single-game rushing totals in franchise history.

• Since 2015, the Jets have allowed NFL-lows 735 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns at home.
• The Jets are one of three teams this season to yield 60-or-fewer rushing yards in three-or-more home games.

**

No Offensive Touchdowns:**

• In addition to limiting BLT to under 300 yards of total offense, the Jets defense did not allow an offensive touchdown in the game. The last time the Jets did not allow an offensive touchdown was an 16-11 win at TEN (12/14/14), while the last time the team accomplished the feat at home was a 7-6 win vs. ARZ (12/02/12).

Forté Pushes Forward:**

• RBMatt Forté rushed for 100 yards on 30 carries en route to becoming just the seventh player in NFL history to amass 9,000 rushing yards and 500 career receptions for his career.Forté reached the mark on a five-yard run in the third quarter. In addition, Forté is just the sixth player in league history to record 9,000 yards rushing, 4,000 yards receiving and 500 receptions.

• Forté became just the fifth player in NFL history to eclipse 8,000 yards rushing, 4,000 yards receiving and 20 receiving touchdowns in his career on a 13-yard touchdown pass from QB Ryan Fitzpatrick. Fortéfinished the game with four receptions for 54 yards, including a season-long 31-yard reception in the third quarter.

• Fortéscored on a one-yard run to give the Jets a 24-16 lead with :56 seconds remaining in the third quarter. It marked the fourth time of Forté's career that he's recorded both a rushing and receiving touchdown in the same game. He last accomplished the feat as a member of CHI (12/29/13). Fortéis the first Jets running back to reach both marks in a single game since RB Leon Washington (10/26/08).
• Fortéfinished the game with 154 total scrimmage yards, the 69th time in his career that he's eclipsed 100-or-more yards from scrimmage in a single game and the 27th time he's totaled 150-or-more scrimmage yards in a game since 2008. Both marks are the most among active players since 2008. 
• Fortérushed for 100-or-more yards for the second time this season and for the 26th time in his career. Fortéhad never rushed for 100 yards against BLT entering Sunday. He has now rushed for 100-or-more yards against 16 different teams.

Folk Hero:

• With his 22-yard field goal in the third quarter, K Nick Folk surpassed John Hall for the second-most field goals at home in team history since the AFL-NFL merger in 1970 (75).
• Folk's extra point in the first quarter gave him 100 at home since joining the Jets, third among kickers in team history since the AFL-NFL merger in 1970. 

Consecutive Catches:

• WR Brandon Marshall extended his streak of consecutive games with a catch to 151 on an 11-yard throw from QB Geno Smithin the first quarter. Marshall's streak is the second-longest active streak in the NFL (Larry Fitzgerald).

Rookie Receiving:**

• Rookie WR Robby Anderson finished the game with three receptions for 41 yards, including a game-high 28-yard reception – his third catch of 20-plus yards this season. Anderson has now recorded a catch in five consecutive games.
• With less then 2:00 to play in the second quarter, Anderson took a reverse 30 yards to the BLT 13, setting up a Forté touchdown on the next play that gave the Jets a 14-13 lead late in the first half. For Anderson, the carry was the first of his career and the longest run by a Jet this season.

 
Q It Up:

• WR Quincy Enunwa hauled in a 69-yard receiving touchdown from QB Geno Smith in the first quarter. It marked the longest receiving touchdown of Enunwa's career and the longest by a Jets wide receiver this season. In addition, it marked the longest touchdown reception by a Jet since WR Brandon Marshall's 69-yard touchdown reception against TEN (12/13/15).
• Enunwa's receiving yards (69) were the most in the first quarter by a Jets wide receiver since Brandon Marshall totaled 89 yards on three receptions against MIA (10/04/15).
• For the season, Enunwa leads the team with 32 receptions, ranks second 409 receiving yards and is tied for the team lead with two touchdown catches.

Fitzpatrick ties Theismann:

• QB Ryan Fitzpatrickcompleted a 13-yard touchdown to RB Matt Fortéin the final minutes of the first half, bringing his career passing touchdown total to 160. Fitzpatrick is now tied with QB Joe Theismann for 73rd all-time for touchdown passes.

Geno Connects:

• QB Geno Smithconnected with WR Quincy Enunwa on a 69-yard touchdown pass in the waning moments of the first quarter. It tied the second-longest touchdown pass of Smith's career and the longest since Week 17 of the 2014 season - 74 yards at MIA (12/28/14).
• Smithexited the game in the second quarter due to an injury, but finished four-of-eight for 95 yards and one touchdown. In his last six games, Smith has completed 64.2% of his passes for a nine-to-four touchdown-to-interception ratio and a passer rating of 98.9.

Skrine'd Pass:

• In the third quarter, CB Buster Skrine intercepted Joe Flacco's pass intended for WR Breshad Perriman and returned it a career-long 51 yards to BLT's three-yard line. It marked Skrine's second intereception since joining the Jets in 2015 and eighth for his career. Prior to Skrine's takeaway, Flacco had not thrown an interception in 176 consecutive pass attempts, the longest streak in BLT history.

Giveaway to Gilchrist:

• Following CB Buster Skrine's interception on the previous BLT possession, CB Marcus Gilchrist picked off a Flacco pass also intended for Perriman and returned it 25 yards. It marked Gilchrist's first interception of the season and ninth of his career.

MetLife Monster:

• In the final moments of the first quarter, DL Sheldon Richardson sacked Joe Flacco for a loss of nine yards, increasing his sack total to 1.5 for the season. Richardson now has 4.0 sacks in his last seven home games.
