The New York Jets have signed free agent safety DaJuan Morgan and waived running back Carlos Brown. The announcements were made by general manager Mike Tannenbaum.
Morgan (6'0", 203) entered the NFL as a third-round selection (82nd overall) by Kansas City in the 2008 NFL Draft. He was released by the Chiefs on Sept. 4, 2010, before being signed by Indianapolis on Sept. 15. He was then released by the Colts on Oct. 10 after he appeared in two games. For his three NFL seasons he has played in 30 games with two starts and has recorded 32 tackles and two fumble recoveries.
Brown (6'0", 210) signed with the Jets with as a Reserve/Future player on Jan. 7. He entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the New Orleans Saints and spent time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their 2010 training camp.
