The New York Jets announced today sponsors of the Divisional Round of the postseason. Sponsors are again integrating into the team's media properties, capturing the eyeballs and ears of millions tuned into the latest meeting of AFC East rivals when the Jets travel to Foxboro to face the Patriots this Sunday. Also, sponsors are capitalizing on Week 2 of playoff excitement with a divisional round fan rally, this time on Saturday at New Meadowlands Stadium.
"All of the sponsors who have partnered with us for the postseason recognize not only the value of a playoff run but the unique ways to reach our fans despite not having a home game," said Matt Higgins, Jets executive vice president of business operations. "From our social media platforms to fan rallies to special offers and sweepstakes, sponsors have the tremendous opportunity to engage potential customers while enhancing their brand recognition and identity among Jets fans."
Pepsi enters Week 2 of integrating its PepsiMax franchise into the Jets Twitter properties. The soft drink giant and stadium cornerstone partner is the presenting sponsor of the @nyjets Twitter gameday tweets and the Connect with the Jets tool, a feature that allows fans to follow all the Jets on Twitter with just one simple click. Users of the tool this week not only follow the team but also follow PepsiMax. Via the Connect platform, PepsiMax gave away a trip to the game to one lucky fan and a guest.
HotelPlanner.com continues this week as the presenting sponsor of the team's newest feature — What's Your Take Playoff Chat — on the Jets' official Facebook page. The chat features a series of trivia and opinion-based questions posed to the team's more than 350,000 Facebook fans. The questions, posted in status updates, include links to HotelPlanner.com's Facebook page. HotelPlanner.com continues its giveaway of $500 in free hotel rooms every day the Jets are in the postseason. In addition, HotelPlanner.com is the presenting sponsor of Jets Facebook video content for the duration of Divisional Playoff Week.
The team also is hosting a playoff rally this Saturday, Jan. 15 at the West Great Hall of New Meadowlands Stadium from noon till 2 p.m. One lucky fan will win a trip for two to see the Jets take on the Patriots, courtesy of JetBlue and HotelPlanner.com. The rally is presented by PepsiMax, Dunkin Donuts and HotelPlanner.com.
Scheduled to appear at the rally are Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum, Jim Leonhard, Kris Jenkins and Jets alumni Joe Klecko, Mark Gastineau and Ray Lucas. Head coach Rex Ryan has recorded a video message for the fans in attendance and a Coach Ryan poster will be given out to fans courtesy of JetBlue. Also during the week, JetBlue gave away a trip to the game in a sweepstakes on newyorkjets.com.
At Saturday's event Fireman Ed will lead a J-E-T-S chant, the New York Jets Flight Crew cheerleaders will perform and highlights of the Jets' wild-card win over the Colts will be shown to the crowd on the videoboards and pylons. Steve Overmyer will host the day's activities.

Additionally, 1050 ESPN Radio personalities Jody McDonald and Brandon Tierney will conduct their afternoon radio show live from the plaza, which will also be the venue for live music from the band Rumor Has It. The Jets Shop Flagship Store powered by Reebok and concession stands will be open. Admission to the playoff rally is free, no tickets necessary, and parking in Lots E, F and G is also free.
