Throughout the offseason, NewYorkJets.com reporters Eric Allen, Ethan Greenberg, Randy Lange and Caroline Hendershot will give their responses to a series of questions regarding this year's Jets.

Today's question: What Are You Most Looking Forward to at the NFL Combine?

EA: I feel like the Combine is the first true page turner to the 2025 season. Not only does the draft come into focus but free agency talk is going to heat up. From a Jets perspective, we'll publicly hear from HC Aaron Glenn and GM Daren Mougey for the first time since their introductory news conference. Much has changed since January 27 Glenn finalized a coaching staff headlined by OC Tanner Engstrand, DC Steve Wilks and STC Chris Banjo. Mougey's personnel changes have included the addition of senior football advisor Rick Spielman and co-director of player personnel Robbie Paton. The Jets' new football leadership made a critical early roster decision, announcing its intentions to part ways with QB Aaron Rodgers. I'm interested to hear what Glenn and Mougey say about their respective staffs and their approach to the QB position . And while we will certainly discuss the top prospects next week, I think we'll get a feel for how the Jets will want to proceed in free agency to satisfy some needs. We won't see a repeat of last year when six QBs taken in the first 12 picks. But how many quarterbacks will create buzz in Indy?. I'm also fascinated by the early talk about this defensive line class that could feature one of the best DT groups ever. Michigan's Mason Graham has been mocked to the Jets by several pundits, but we've got a long way to go before late April in Green Bay.

EG: While the Combine is a draft event, I'm excited to hear from Aaron Glenn and Darren Mougey. When they spoke at their introductory press conference, they said they were going to comb the roster, identify what traits they want in future Jets as they began working together. I'm interested to hear what insight Glenn and Mougey provide about their philosophy on free agency, roster makeup, player makeup, etc., since we don't have a blueprint from previous years. I don't expect them to divulge state secrets, but perhaps they will drop tidbits that will allow us to make an educated guess what to expect over the next few months. We know the Jets will have a new starting quarterback at the start of the season and rumors will certainly swirl in America's Heartland, but perhaps the Green & White's new HC and GM will shed light about the direction they plan to take.

RL: I'll be interested in seeing the top QBs, Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders, plus Jaxson Dart and Jalen Milroe, in the passing drills. Ward and Sanders figure to battle for the honor as the first quarterback drafted, but will one of them still be there when the Jets pick seventh overall? And if so, is he just what HC Aaron Glenn and OC Tanner Engstrand are looking for to run the Green & White offense? The defensive widebodies will also be on my radar. If Javon Kinlaw doesn't re-sign, or even if he does, the Jets will need a big, durable freak to line up next to Quinnen Williams, stuff the inside running game and push the pocket. If they don't go QB at 7, they could get to choose between top interior D-linemen Mason Graham of Michigan and Walter Nolen of Ole Miss. But another first-round prospect — Kenneth Grant, Graham's 6-3, 342-pound Wolverines teammate — is capable of putting on a show in the 40 and 3-cone. You know, something like the show he staged in 2023 when he chased down Penn State RB Kaytron Allen from behind? Seeing Grant post a 40 time close to, say, Dontari Poe's 4.89 at 346 pounds in 2012 would be one of the highlights of the '25 NFL Combine.

CH: I am most looking forward to hearing from HC Aaron Glenn and GM Darren Mougey for the first time since their introductory press conference in January. Not only have the Jets filled out their coaching roster since the press conference, but they also have made changes to the player roster by announcing they're going to part ways with QB Aaron Rodgers. This will also be the first time Mougey and Glenn will speak after they have spent significant time together strategizing their approach to free agency, the draft and positions of need for the Jets roster. While some mock drafts have the Jets taking a defensive tackle with the No. 7 overall pick, no one knows how the new coaching staff will approach free agency, which could impact the draft. Once we hear from Mougey and Glenn, we will have a better idea of what their approach is for the rest of the offseason and may get a clearer picture of who or what position they are interested in drafting.
