WR Clyde Gates had a team-high 65 receiving yards during our 12/23/12 game vs. San Diego. He'll hope to regain that form next year after ending up on injured reserve this past season.
After re-signing G Willie Colon, four of our five starters on the offensive line from last year will return. Of those linemen who faced the Chargers in 2012, however, it'll be just two: T D'Brickashaw Ferguson and C Nick Mangold.
RB Bilal Powell struggled to gain any traction on the ground vs. San Diego in 2012, losing three yards on three carries in the game. He's coming off of a career year though and has since emerged as one of the most reliable backs in the league.
WR Jeremy Kerley has been the Jets' leading receiver the past two seasons and will look to make it three in a row next year as defenses key in on newly acquired WR Eric Decker.
We can now say with certainty that LB Calvin Pace will be a Jet once again next season after coming off a career-high 10-sack season. Philip Rivers will certainly be looking for No. 97 prior to the snap.
California native Nick Folk will once again get to kick against San Diego at MetLife Stadium. He went two-for-two in field goals last time we hosted the Chargers, while their kicker, Nick Novak, missed all three of his attempts.
As a restricted free agent, it's possible that No. 54 Nick Bellore will return next season. The man in green and white standing behind him, however, is Eric Smith. He will be back with the Jets only this time he'll be on the sidelines as a special teams intern.
DE Muhammad Wilkerson had one of our four team sacks vs. the Chargers in 2012. Last season, he led the team with 10.5 QB takedowns.
