Marcus Williams went undrafted in the 2014 draft, first signing with the Houston Texans. He was signed to the Jets practice squad on Sept. 24.
Williams attended North Dakota State, where he recorded 21 interceptions, a school record.
At NDSU, he won back-to-back FCS National Championships. Williams said the titles are his best football memory.
Williams was promoted to the Jets active roster on Oct. 28 and started in his NFL debut against the Chiefs five days later. He led the team with seven tackles and added a pass defensed. In his second start against the Steelers on Nov. 9, Williams had four tackles and two passes defensed.
Williams' favorite movie of all time is the 1996 flick "Space Jam" starring Michael Jordan and Bugs Bunny.
When he was younger, Williams preferred to play basketball and pursued that sport initially: "I thought I was going to play in college, but I ended up choosing football."
Williams doesn't have a particular favorite song, but he enjoys any tune from Michael Jackson.
Soul food is Williams' favorite type of meal, adding his aunt his a great cook.
He doesn't have a reason behind it, but Williams' favorite color is brown.
Drowning is Williams deepest fear: "I'm not a big swimmer. Anytime I get around water, it's one of my biggest fears. I like to go and be challenged, but when it comes to swimming and knowing there's sharks around, I don't like it."
