Getting to Know WR/KR Saalim Hakim

WR/KR Saalim Hakim went undrafted out of Tarleton State in 2011.

Before attending Tarleton State he was a standout at Palomar College, a community college in California.

His primary sport growing up was soccer.

Before joining the Jets, Hakim played for the Dallas Cowboys, St. Louis Rams and New Orleans Saints. He also had a stop with the Las Vegas Locomotives of the United Football League.

His brother, Az-Zahir, was a wide receiver for the St. Louis Rams.

Hakim is possibly fastest guy in the Jets locker room, clocking in at 4.22 seconds in the 40 during his pro day. RB Chris Johnson clocked in at 4.24, a combine record. The two have talked about racing at one point, but have not selected a date.

Hakim's favorite movie is "Rush Hour 2" because he is a big Chris Tucker fan.

At Palomar College, Hakim majored in child development.

Hakim is a big fan of Madden, the NFL video game.

If he were not playing football, Hakim said he would most likely be a real estate agent.
