Top 10 Performers of Week 1
Top 10 Performers: See who flew above the rest in week 1.

QB Geno looked confident at the line of scrimmage during the first week of training camp, and that has carried over into his performance after the snap. He's shown coaches, teammates and fans a little bit of everything as he's thrown the ball effectively from the pocket while also using his legs to extend plays.

S Antonio Allen, the Jets' 2012 seventh-round pick, saw many reps with the first team defense this week and has made the most of them. He's still continuing to learn the position, but he's demonstrated his athleticism on both special teams and in the secondary.Â

Flying a little bit under the radar, TE Zach Sudfeld has displayed sure hands, especially near the sidelines and in the red zone. He's also developed good chemistry with quarterbacks Geno Smith and Michael Vick.

Coming off a big year, DT Damon Harrison is still just as hungry as ever. On the first day of practice with full pads, "Snacks" walloped RB Chris Ivory during team drills, one of the memorable hits during the first week.

Eric Decker made quite an impression during camp this week. On the first day of camp, he caught nearly every ball thrown to him and has continued to be a sure-handed receiver.Â

The reliable LB David Harris hasn't lost a step and continued to be an anchor of the defense. During team drill, Harris, who is not known for his coverage skills, tipped a pass from QB Geno Smith, and pulled it down for the interception.

RB Chris Johnson, who underwent arthroscopic knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus has been explosive thus far in camp. Johnson also showed his versatility, lining up as a wide receiver on some plays. He sat out on Saturday on one of Rex Ryan's "pitch count" days, but returned Sunday looking just as fresh as he had in days prior.Â

RB Bilal Powell took advantage of Johnson's absence on Saturday, running hard with the first team. Powell was able to find holes in the defense and take advantage during team drills.Â

WR Clyde Gates, coming off a season-ending injury made the most of his opportunities during team drills. In a 7-on-7 drill, Gates used his speed to beat CB Dee Milliner down the sideline and caught a long ball from QB Michael Vick.

Listed at 5'9", 165 pounds, rookie WR Jalen Saunders may not be the biggest guy on the field, but he has shown a lot of heart in the first week of camp, especially during his work as a punt returner. He was able to use his slender frame to find holes. He's also caught the eye of head coach Rex Ryan: "I think for a rookie, the little Saunders kid pops to me," Ryan said. "He runs like he's been doing this thing for years. He's a fearless guy, so I think I've been impressed with him."
