Head coach Todd Bowles and WR Brandon Marshall have reunited with the Jets.  They previously worked together in Miami with the Dolphins in 2010 and '11 and Marshall says the Jets HC is a "man's man, a leader. He definitely has a great understanding of bringing guys together, holding everyone accountable, and getting everything out of each and every individual."

They don't call him "The Beast" for nothing. Brandon Marshall, 6'4", 230 pounds, had an outstanding spring for the Jets. He had seven consecutive seasons with more than 1,000 yards receiving between 2007-'13 and he has five seasons with 100 or more catches. You don't post those numbers without great hands.

Al-Cro-Traz is back. After a year in the desert, Antonio Cromartie followed his former defensive coordinator Todd Bowles back east to Florham Park. The Jets figure to play a lot of man on the outside and Cro is a four-time Pro Bowler who is up for the challenge.

The middle linebacker for the Jets in their 1998 AFC Championship Game at Denver? Pepper Johnson. Now Johnson is the Jets defensive line coach and he is mentoring some horses up front.

"Guys are just flying around," said CB Darrelle Revis during camp. "We're moving very fast. Our defensive schemes – we're doing a lot." Revis led the way this spring, consistently being the first corner in drills, encouraging younger players and locking it up on Revis Island.

Rookie outside 'backer Lorenzo Mauldin, a Louisville product, has looked in Calvin Pace's director for guidance. Pace has led the club in sacks (43) since joining the Jets in 2008 and he remains one of the better edge setters in football.

Geno Smith will lead the 1st-team offense when the Jets return for training camp in late July. "Every single day I wake up, I'm enthused," Smith said. "I'm ready to come to practice and come to work because this is what I love to do."

In his first season with the Jets, WR Eric Decker finished with 74 catches, 962 yards and five touchdowns. The reception and yards totals were the most for a Jets player since 2007.

Sheldon Richardson and Muhammad Wilkerson captured the past two Curtis Martin Team MVP awards. After Wilkerson racked up a career-high 10.5 sacks and 91 tackles in 2013, Richardson paced the club with eight sacks in 2014. Wilkerson added six as the Jets T6 in the league last year with 45 sacks.
